More About Our November 14 Authors!

The Friends of the Coronado Center Library are pleased to introduce the following six authors, who will be the guests of honor at our November 14 Wine & Cheese event:

Beth Annen is a local novice author. Her book, Crooked Cross, A Mother’s Love, is a true story of the powerful journey of a mother’s resilience and unwavering faith as she navigates the challenges of loss, adoption, and mental illness within her family.

Local author Doug Beed wrote Chasing Understanding in the Jungles of Viet- nam. In this book Doug relates his memories of the men and missions during one year as a combat soldier in Vietnam. The stories range from funny to tragic, from uplifting to extremely frustrating, and from touching to horrifying.

Fred Downs resides in Hot Springs Village. He has written books with Christian themes meant to inspire, educate, and entertain the reader. His “Tears of Blood” series includes three novels. He has also written two other books, The Gates of Hades and Lucifer’s Daughter.

Author Cy Holliday was raised in a traveling circus, although he currently resides in Hot Springs Village. His book George Bailey’s Got Nothing on Me takes the reader from Broadway to carnival midways to the Atlantic City boardwalk, with stories that speak of a simpler time, but with life lessons as applicable today as they were in the past.

Sharon Keathley, another Hot Springs Village resident, is a native Arkansan who has published a five-book crime drama series (the Olivia Samuels Mystery Series) and other works. She hopes to entertain but also share some information that is new or different or maybe just from a different perspective.

Jason Pederson resides in Little Rock. He describes himself as a Wisconsinite by birth and an Arkansan by choice. Jason worked at KATV Channel 7 as a reporter for nearly 25 years. Most of that time he served as the station’s “7 On Your Side” reporter. His book, Somebody’s Knocking, features stories about the scams and scoundrels he exposed during those years.
