FOCCL Appreciates Our Library Volunteers!

FOCCL hosted its annual library volunteer appreciation luncheon at the Coronado Center on Saturday, December 14, with a wonderful buffet from the Home Plate Cafe.

After short presentations by outgoing FOCCL president Sunny Lofton (reporting on the many activities of FOCCL during the past year) and incoming president Rebecca Schulte (outlining some of the many activities planned by FOCCL for the coming year), the other members of the FOCCL board were introduced, and a plaque recognizing Sunny Lofton’s exemplary contributions to FOCCL was presented to her.

The attendees then enjoyed a fun holiday trivia game with Sunny Lofton and John Obrien that tested everyone’s knowledge of Christmas movies and songs. Although not everyone achieved a great (and in fact no one got a perfect) score, everyone did have a great time trying to remember things like who first sang “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” or where little Kevin McCallister’s parents went for the holidays in the first Home Alone movie or the name of the third ghost in Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

We hope to see everyone at next year’s Library Volunteer Appreciation party!
