Our April 1st Trivia Night proved yet again that FOCCL is no one-hit wonder! To quote some famous lyrics from Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” (though it wasn’t one of the classic hits from our “memorable movie music” category),
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues…
the evening’s proceeds provided a nice financial boost for our Coronado Center Library, and nobody should be singing the blues about that!
Our trivia winning team was the Ship of Fools, who wore sailor hats that obviously doubled as thinking caps, judging by their winning effort! Close behind in second place was the Holy Trivia #2 team, and the Smart Alecs came in at third.

Our tailgating table winners were the Devious Divas, who took “think pink” to a new level, with their colorful outfits matching their sparkling table decor!

Our amazing emcee for the evening was local lawyer Shelly Joyner, who also graciously donated an estate planning will package to our Silent Auction table. Thank you, Shelly!

We had several other very generous donations to our Silent Auction, such as this golf package from Diamante Country Club!

Our assistant emcee was local author Cy Holliday, who announced the winning numbers for the many donated door prizes and the 50/50 winner with his usual aplomb. Thank you, Cy!

Our esteemed overall judge for the evening was Keith Sexton, head of POA business development, ably assisted by Larry Zaigler. Thank you, Keith and Larry!

And we certainly couldn’t pull this off without our experts in technology and scoring support: John OBrien is our tech wizard and Barb Truesdell is our scoring guru. Thank you, John and Barb!

Special thanks also to RE/MAX of Hot Springs Village for their sponsorship of our event!
And we hope to see everyone at our next Trivia Night on September 23!!
