The Friends of the Coronado Center Library (FOCCL) is a volunteer organization founded in 2009 by Hot Springs Village residents who love books and the library.
Our purpose is to stimulate community interest in the Coronado Center Library, purchase library materials not in the POA operating budget, and to support cultural and educational endeavors in the Hot Springs Village area through literary-related events for the library. We are always looking for new members!
FOCCL is a non-profit 501c3 organization. Monetary donations to support the library through the Friends of the Coronado Center Library endowment can be made via the Hot Springs Village Community Foundation here.
FOCCL manages booksales on behalf of the library: a permanent “for sale” book shelf in the library and an occasional larger booksale.

Donations for the sales are welcome and can be dropped off at the library circulation desk. Please donate only recent (published within the past 5 years) books in very good condition. We do not accept magazines or encyclopedias.
FOCCL also maintains three Little Libraries offering free books in the Village: one for children at the Balboa Beach playground, one for adults at the Ponce de Leon Center across from Grove Park, and one for both adults and children at the De Soto Recreation Center near the pickleball courts.
The Friends of the Coronado Center Library Board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. in room 6 of the Coronado Center. Visitors are welcome! Minutes of the monthly meetings are posted during the following month, after approval by the Board. Approved minutes of these meetings can be found here. Elections for the Board are held at the annual membership meeting each November.
